Colonel Turner writes that he wants a position as a “Colored American” in Theodore Roosevelt’s division. He is a member of the Omaha Fire Department and the U.R.K. of P’s (Uniformed Rank Knights of Pythias). Turner requests a reconsideration of a rejection letter he received from a previous military examination.
