Director Conrad L. Wirth discusses the development of Theodore Roosevelt Island as a memorial to Theodore Roosevelt with Secretary Udall. Wirth begins with a brief history of the island with regards to who controls its development and goes on to state that he has met with the children of Theodore Roosevelt who approve the proposed plan for the memorial. He provides a description of the memorial and states that several of the other groups required to provide approval have done so. He conclude with a statement concerning funds for the project.
