The photographer Xiomáro compares the experience of photographing Sagamore Hill National Historic Site when it was practically empty in early 2012 with returning to the site on July 12, 2015, for its grand reopening. Theodore Roosevelt Association Journal editor William N. Tilchin writes Edwin A. Finn, the editor of Barron’s magazine, and sharply criticizes an editorial in Barron’s written by Thomas G. Donlan that assigns Theodore Roosevelt to the bottom ranks of twentieth-century American presidents. Tilchin counters that Roosevelt consistently ranks near the top of presidential polls, and he notes that Donlan’s editorial lacks historical understanding. Tilchin says that Barron’s should be embarrassed by publishing Donlan’s piece.
