Brown, Executive Director of the Theodore Roosevelt Association (TRA), remarks that 2012 will be an important year for the TRA just as 1912 was significant in the life of Theodore Roosevelt. Brown notes that an exhibit on the 1912 campaign will appear at the Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace National Historic Site in New York City, and he highlights the TRA’s work in updating the museum onboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt and the headquarters of the NCAA in Indianapolis, Indiana. Brown also lists some of the work undertaken by regional chapters of the TRA and trips planned for its members to Cuba and Panama. A photograph of Brown as a boy dressed as a cowboy supplements the text.

Terrence C. Brown introduces himself as the new Executive Director of the Theodore Roosevelt Association (TRA). Brown notes his upbringing in New York City, his love of history and museums, and his many years of work with the Society of Illustrators. Brown discusses his hopes and plans for the TRA with an emphasis on expanding its existing programs such as the Teddy Bears for Kids. Brown notes that two regional chapters have been added to the TRA in North Dakota and Florida, and he highlights the TRA’s cooperation with the Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace National Historic Site in New York City, noting the site’s support of the Teddy Bears for Kids program and providing the TRA with office space. Brown also informs the TRA membership that he has been cutting the association’s expenses.
