Harper also requests that Needham conduct an interview for the Saturday Evening Post. Harper includes some literature about the Progressive Party including a couple of letters from Gordon Russell.

He relays that Roosevelt no longer has plans to visit Des Moines, Iowa, because the trip that was to take place prior to the Progressive Party Convention is cancelled. He also suggests that Bolton contact Senator Joseph M. Dixon at the Manhattan Hotel to plan future arrangements.
