Uncle James Roosevelt and his wife Aunt Lizzie are wrapped up in local politics and Roosevelt has begun his new job as New York City Police Commissioner. It is difficult work with three colleagues and hampering laws. He wants the legislature to give him the power to remove subordinates without appeal.
