Sarah B. Stevens recently learned that her house in Walthourville, Georgia, belonged to Theodore Roosevelt’s grandfather, James S. Bulloch and that his mother, Martha, was born there. She sends a photograph of the house, which has not changed much since it was built.

Goodrich recently visited Robert Harry Munro Ferguson at Saranac Lake, and says that Ferguson is doing better and is pleased with the house he has there. (Ferguson had been diagnosed with tuberculosis, and was at Saranac Lake for his health.)

Anna Roosevelt Cowles asks President Roosevelt to read the enclosed letter from Frances E. Monson, and to have William Loeb write her if he knows of a place that can help her son. She recently visited New York, where she visited Franklin D. and Eleanor Roosevelt, who have moved into their new home and are expecting their third child. She also saw Mr. Mills, who is frail but fondly remembers Edith. She has seen her nephew Ted, and will see him again on Sunday, and expects to see Alice Roosevelt Longworth today.

James Bronson Reynolds encloses a letter from S. W. Woodward regarding an event to enlist interest in the President’s Homes Commission. Reynolds asks President Roosevelt to spend “even five or ten minutes” addressing the gathering to assure the audience of official interest in the project.
