Letter from Stewart Edward White to Theodore Roosevelt

Letter from Stewart Edward White to Theodore Roosevelt

Stewart Edward White thanks President Roosevelt for a commission as a trust inspector, and he has opened communication with Mr. Richards in this regard. He says that Theodore “Ted” Roosevelt should arrive by the 10th for their planned hunting excursion. White explains the itinerary of the trip, which includes hunting, hiking, and fishing in California. He downplays his own hunting skills, claiming that he has killed big game mostly by being in places where game is abundant. He encloses pictures that he believes will be of interest to Ted, as they are of areas they will visit on the trip.
