Vice President Fairbanks informs President Roosevelt that he spoke to Senator James B. McCreary, but he is so opposed to the treaty that it is of no use for the President to see him. However, McCreary is well disposed toward the President personally, and Fairbanks suggests Roosevelt show him some attention when it is convenient to do so.
