Richard Harding Davis and Mrs. Davis are traveling to Washington, D.C., and would like to pay their respects to President Roosevelt and to the “god mother of H.I.M.S. Meteor.” The “god mother” refers to Alice Roosevelt who christened German Emperor William II’s yacht, the Meteor, which was built in the United States.
