William N. Tilchin addresses the members of the Theodore Roosevelt Association (TRA) upon his assuming the presidency of the TRA. Tilchin recounts the difficult years experienced by the TRA between 2005 and 2009, and he praises his predecessor as President, Tweed Roosevelt, for his leadership during and after this period. Tilchin concludes his remarks by noting the various programs that will continue and new initiatives that have been undertaken such as the TRA book prize. A photograph of Tilchin and Roosevelt supplements the text.
