Envelope commemorating the 75th anniversary of Theodore Roosevelt’s succession to the presidency on September 1, 1901. Roosevelt was in the Adirondacks that day and first heard of William McKinley’s death at the D & H Railway Station in North Creek, New York. On the left side of the envelope is a black and white photograph of the railway station.
