Theodore Roosevelt addresses the issue of machine party politics in New York. He touches on the gubernatorial race and various Senators in the state legislature, including Charles Francis Murphy and William Barnes. Roosevelt is campaigning for a non-machine politics candidate, “stalwart of good government, the unflinching fighter for real reform, Frederick M.
