Theodore Roosevelt is shown reading a book, seated in the doorway of West Divide Creek ranch house. On his lap is a rat terrier named Skip that Roosevelt found on a trip to the Grand Canyon that same year. Skip would return home with the president to the White House and become his son Archie’s dog.
