Theodore Roosevelt writes to his sister Anna Roosevelt updating her on the status of things in Washington. Roosevelt and wife Edith continue to do a great deal of socializing, despite financial constraints. Roosevelt is deciding whether to continue in his position as Civil Service Commissioner because his finances are in “fearful shape.”
