Civil Service Commissioner Roosevelt writes to comfort his sister during a difficult time. He consoles her over the death of their aunt and tells her that there is nothing else that can be done to help their brother, Elliott Roosevelt. Roosevelt also mentions a lost check that he hopes can be replaced.
