The Alexandria Aqueduct Bridge in its third incarnation as a roadway between Georgetown and Virginia. Here the bridge has been rebuilt as an iron truss bridge to support wheeled traffic. Mason’s Island, later called Theodore Roosevelt Island, can be seen on the left.
