Theodore Roosevelt is greatly concerned at Silas McBee’s letter, as he had no idea that McBee had been sick. Roosevelt sends his regards to Mrs. McBee, who he thinks must have suffered even more. Roosevelt is leaving tomorrow, but when he gets back he wishes to hear McBee’s views at length over lunch.
