The Winthrop Chanler family did come out strong from the election but President Roosevelt is sorry for Low’s loss. Roosevelt wishes he could hunt with Chanler at Genesco but his “advanced middle age” requires a horse “which has good manners and which can jump anything.” Letter incorrectly dated as November 5, 1902.
