Denison is uncomfortable with the assignment and understands that Roosevelt may not want to make a statement. Next month, Denison is traveling to Deadwood, South Dakota, to visit Seth Bullock.

He believes there is a great opportunity for a “first class shoe store” in Baltimore, Maryland, but he lacks the funds to begin operations.
