Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Anna Roosevelt Cowles

President Roosevelt has read Mrs. Monson’s letter regarding her son, but Roosevelt does not believe he can help her. Moreover, he is not certain that a cattle ranch is the best place for an eastern boy with a penchant for alcohol. Roosevelt recommends that Anna Roosevelt Cowles ask William Emlen Roosevelt about Jack Roosevelt’s training experience on a cattle ranch.
