D. A. Robinson informs Theodore Roosevelt of the Mounted Service School’s intention of creating a yearbook to showcase the aims and purpose of the school as well as provoke discussion around horsemanship in the army. The staff hope to publish articles written by instructors and believe a contribution by Roosevelt would be appropriate since Roosevelt greatly advanced horsemanship in the army during his presidency. Robinson assures Roosevelt any statement would be much appreciated.

Letter from William B. Parsons to Theodore Roosevelt

As President of the Flushing Association, William B. Parsons invites Theodore Roosevelt to speak at an upcoming dinner of the organization. Parsons sends Roosevelt the organization’s yearbook, and gives some details about the organization. Some of Roosevelt’s ancestors were involved with the early history of Flushing, and Parsons thinks Roosevelt may enjoy meeting the descendants of some of the men who knew his ancestors.

Letter from Kermit Roosevelt to John Campbell Greenway

John Campbell Greenway has been elected as a regular member of the Boone and Crockett Club. Kermit Roosevelt will be sending, under separate cover, the club yearbook, and asks for Greenway’s preferred permanent address. In a postscript, Roosevelt asks what the chances are of Greenway being at the December dinner and notes his sister’s “competition.”
