Governor Roosevelt writes that he will breakfast with Senator Platt on Friday. However, on Friday, General Greene and Misters Witherbee, Fox, and Macfarlane would like to breakfast with Corinne Roosevelt Robinson. Roosevelt also mentions that Edith Kermit Carow Roosevelt enjoyed her gift.

President Roosevelt congratulates his son, Theodore Roosevelt, on his grades. He cautions Ted against making a mistake that he personally made when he was at Harvard where he got good grades in the first half of the year, and then did not study for the second half and ended up with low marks because of poor grades in his finals. Frank Witherbee visited Roosevelt recently.

President Roosevelt has received Walter C. Witherbee’s letter. As Witherbee’s term of service as Collector of Customs for the district of Champlain comes to a close, Roosevelt thanks him again for his integrity and quality of service. Roosevelt also mentions the recent visit of Witherbee’s relative, Frank S. Witherbee.
