Wenneker declined the position and Roosevelt wonders if Joseph Flory would be a good man for the job.

Several people have written endorsements of different candidates for the position. Overall, Roosevelt prefers Mr. Harris and asks William Rockhill Nelson for his opinion. Roosevelt would like to have someone in the Missouri office whom he knows.
