Letter from Frederick Norton Goddard to Theodore Roosevelt
Frederick Norton Goddard thanks President Roosevelt for his recent hospitality. He plans to get a letter from the company employing Joseph Watkinson to send to Roosevelt to aid in his intention of appointing Watkinson as Inspector. Goddard believes that Roosevelt should speak to Elihu Root regarding the Mayorality of New York, and will remind Roosevelt when Root is back in Washington, D.C. Goddard is interested in being the next Anti-Tammany candidate for Mayor of New York, and has been supported in this by Eugene A. Philbin.
