Lyon Gardiner Tyler sends President Roosevelt a copy of his new book on Williamsburg, Virginia with pleasure. It includes a chapter on William and Mary College, which Roosevelt expressed kind sentiments about during a luncheon they both attended. Tyler would appreciate if Roosevelt could take the time to write a commendation for the book.

J. Stewart Barney sends William Loeb a photograph of his progress on the lecturn commissioned for the 300th anniversary of Williamsburg by President Theodore Roosevelt. The lecturn will be presented by Roosevelt to the Bruton Parish Church to hold a Bible presented by King Edward VII of England. Barney asks permission to release the photograph to the press.

Frank Edgar Evans sends a report to Lieutenant Commander Fahs giving the results of a test of the “Corrector System,” which took place on the Marine Corps Rifle Range at Camp Admiral Harrington in November. Gunnery Sergeant Clark was thorough in his testing and determined that the corrector system eliminates eyestrain.
