Prince Lucien Campbell, President of the University of Oregon, was glad to learn from Professor Joseph Schafer that Theodore Roosevelt accepted the invitation to address students during the short stop his train will make in Eugene, Oregon. Campbell plans to attend the banquet given by the Commercial Club of Portland.

Professor Schafer has heard from the railway officials that it is impossible for Theodore Roosevelt’s train to stop at the campus of the University of Oregon, but that it will stop briefly near the depot. Schafer asks permission to advertise a brief address to be given there. He suggests several topics relevant to Oregon about which Roosevelt might comment briefly.
