President Roosevelt asks William Allen White to tell the representatives of Kansas State University and Missouri State University that he has not made any positive promise at this point. Roosevelt hopes to make a short western trip in June 1907 and visit several universities but cannot say for certain that he will be able to do so.

S. M. Barrett informs Theodore Roosevelt that he has published a book, Mocco an Indian Boy, with Duffield & Co. from New York City and has requested to have a copy sent to him for his enjoyment. Barrett is still at the University of Oklahoma but would like to go somewhere else if given the opportunity due to the political influence in the workplace.
