The universal feeling among Harvard graduates is that the article on Yale’s attitude in sport has done real damage. President Roosevelt is pleased that the article was removed from Harvard Graduates’ Magazine but this only slightly offsets the damage. Recriminations are not helpful or dignified.

William Roscoe Thayer of the Harvard Graduate’s Magazine has asked Curtis Guild to write an article about President Roosevelt’s time at Harvard. He requests Roosevelt’s help with writing the article and will add or keep out whatever Roosevelt would prefer.
