President Roosevelt is pleased that Assistant Secretary of the Navy Satterlee has accepted the appointment to the Board of Visitors to the United States Naval Academy. As Roosevelt’s schedule is already overfull, however, he regrets to inform Satterlee that he will not be able to visit the academy this week.

President Roosevelt sincerely apologizes to President Evans of Wells-Fargo for the oversight of omitting his name from the Annapolis Board of Visitors while accidentally adding it to the West Point Board of Visitors. He asks whether Evans would prefer to go on the West Point Board or to be added to the Annapolis Board the following year.

President Roosevelt intends to appoint Colonel William A. Pew to next year’s Board of Visitors to West Point. Secretary of the Navy Moody will be responsible for the selection of the visitors for the Naval Academy at Annapolis. In a handwritten addition, Roosevelt notes that he has made a promise for the latter to John Robert Procter.
