President Roosevelt informs Secretary of War Taft he wants to appoint Governor of the Arizona territory Alexander O. Brodie to one of the places Congress is attempting to abolish before the law goes into effect. If necessary, Colonel John Tweedale may need to be retired so that Brodie can take his place.
