President Roosevelt does not want to get embroiled with the labor movement but will do so if labor continues to act in the way they did in the Miller case.

Senator Platt has received a letter from Nelson E. Ransom stating that Ransom is fighting for control of the Herkimer County organization against Titus Sheard. Ransom has heard a rumor that Sheard is attempting to influence President Roosevelt against him and Platt assured Ransom that Roosevelt cannot be influenced to interfere in Herkimer County.

Manley S. Hard shares a “prophesy” made by Rev. William H. Olin when President Roosevelt was vying for Speaker in the New York State Assembly. Olin, committed to voting for Roosevelt, proclaimed that he “has a great future before him.”
