Senator Platt has received a letter from Nelson E. Ransom stating that Ransom is fighting for control of the Herkimer County organization against Titus Sheard. Ransom has heard a rumor that Sheard is attempting to influence President Roosevelt against him and Platt assured Ransom that Roosevelt cannot be influenced to interfere in Herkimer County.
