Theodore Roosevelt and Alice Lee Roosevelt miss Martha Bulloch Roosevelt and want her to visit as often as she wants to come. Roosevelt is anxious to discuss the new addition to the family, Anna Hall, who will be marrying Elliott Roosevelt. He thinks it is great that Elliott is to “marry and settle down with a definite purpose in life.” Roosevelt sends his love to Corinne Roosevelt Robinson and her young son, Theodore Douglas Robinson.

Theodore Douglas Robinson has been cheated out of an electoral victory by Mr. Petrie and the administration. Robinson has the support of the Republicans of Herkimer County, New York, and Theodore Roosevelt believes that the administration’s opposition to Robinson is foolish.

Theodore Roosevelt writes to W. Cameron Forbes about his nephew Theodore Douglas Robinson and urges Forbes to include him in his South American plans. Roosevelt wishes he could talk over the Philippine matter with Forbes but he does not feel he would be of much use since he is out of sympathy with the current administration and Republican Party.

He comments on the elections in New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, New Jersey, and New Mexico and the implications for the entire country.

Douglas Robinson, Corinne Roosevelt Robinson, and Theodore Douglas Robinson will be on the government tug to view the launching of Emperor William II’s yacht. Theodore Robinson will also be writing in hopes of attending the coronation of King Edward VII. Robinson is unsure of the political aspects of Alice Roosevelt officially attending the coronation and believes this will be unpopular in the South and West. He suggests George R. Read for government real estate purchases in New York City and has invested some of President Roosevelt’s money in securities.
