Letter from Secretary of Theodore Roosevelt to Philip Werlein

Theodore Roosevelt’s secretary discusses Roosevelt’s travel plans with Philip Werlein. Instead of sharing expenses, the secretary suggests the Progressive Union arrange a special train car so Roosevelt can arrive in New Orleans, Louisiana, for the proposed arrangement. Roosevelt would rather speak under the auspices of the Progressive Union and have admission be free.
