Discipline

In this article, Theodore Roosevelt argues that discipline is necessary for the individual and for the nation. The lack of discipline, exemplified in the misuse of public lands and even private lands made available for public use, leads to loss of the privilege of use not only for those who abuse but also for their well behaved neighbors. This article was published in the Ladies Home Journal in January 1917.
