Letter from Leslie M. Shaw to Theodore Roosevelt

Problems have arisen regarding the bids for a public building in Cleveland, Ohio. Senator Marcus Alonzo Hanna wants the contract to be awarded to Dall & Son as their bid states that the stone will be obtained from a fully developed quarry. However, Secretary of the Treasury Shaw believes the contract will have to go to Bradley & Son and the quarry they intend to use will be fully developed by the time the stone is required.
