Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Nathanael Greene Herreshoff

Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Nathanael Greene Herreshoff

Assistant Secretary of the Navy Roosevelt informs Nathanael Green Herreshoff that he has spoken with Secretary of the Navy John Davis Long. Roosevelt hopes that his argument that Herreshoff be given his first payment immediately may be successful, but Long has a plan which will likely be tried first. He promises to tell Herreshoff when he is able to share more information, or when he thinks it may be helpful for Herreshoff to speak to Long in person.
