Douglas, on behalf of the Muskogee Commercial Club, invites Theodore Roosevelt to visit the city of Muskogee when he travels to Oklahoma for the annual reunion of the Spanish War Veterans. He promises Roosevelt that he would be greeted by even greater numbers of admirers than he was on his previous visit.
