He has asked for a report regarding the matters raised by the Kalispell, Montana, Chamber of Commerce.

Diversion of water from the Milk River in Canada

The people of Montana and Saskatchewan are feuding over water rights in the Milk River Valley. The Canadian government has plans to divert water from the Milk River, which has the potential to cause damage to farms in Montana. US Government bureaucrats are concerned with not only finding an equitable solution, but in avoiding danger to government property, particular the irrigation system of the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation.
