Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Harvey J. Burkhart

President Roosevelt regards Harvey J. Burkhart’s letter as important and will show it to select people. Roosevelt believes that the feeling in this Congressional District is very similar except in Queens county, where railroad men, policemen, and volunteer firemen strongly oppose governor Charles Evans Hughes. Roosevelt does not think the opposition from the gambling element is consequential.
