Spencer W. Bird received Theodore Roosevelt’s letter saying that he is not going to Passaic, New Jersey. He is not surprised by Roosevelt’s reply, and the announcement is one of many instances of ‘”fake” information.” Bird hopes Roosevelt can take time from his busy life to read the enclosed allegory.

Bird W. Spencer tells Theodore Roosevelt that Victor L. Mason announced Roosevelt is to be a dinner guest of the Passaic Board of Trade. Spencer is taking the liberty of sending newspaper clippings to Roosevelt as a way of introducing Mason. Spencer assures Roosevelt of the esteem and admiration Spencer has for Mason.
