Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Frank Dale LaLanne, 1847-1913

President Roosevelt invites Frank Dale LaLanne to attend the Conference of Governors in his capacity as president of the National Board of Trade. The conference will address the conservation of natural resources, with its purpose defined by the Inland Waterways Commission. In addition to the governors, Roosevelt is inviting representatives of many national associations, United States Representatives and Senators, and other members of the federal government.

Letter from Francis B. Loomis to Theodore Roosevelt

Francis B. Loomis writes to President Roosevelt about the upcoming return of Secretary of State Root from his Pan-American visit. Loomis calls it an “important international event” that is receiving much press coverage. He hopes Root’s return is met with equal fanfare. Loomis envisions a homecoming event that is national and bipartisan, and suggests names for speakers and organizations to involve.
