Theodore Roosevelt vaguely recalls the matter John W. Dunkle writes about. However, he does not remember if Alexander Pollock Moore was part of the committee. He does, however, remember that he directed the Department of Justice to investigate the committee’s charges.

Theodore Roosevelt notified Alexander Pollock Moore as Henry Cabot Lodge requested. He agrees with the sentiments of Lodge’s speech. Roosevelt heard about Lodge’s granddaughter, Constance Lodge Gardner Minot, and recalls her telling Edith Kermit Carow Roosevelt that she wanted a large family.

Lyon Hunter asks H. E. Hilles for telegrams that Theodore Roosevelt sent in 1908 regarding a meeting with Alexander Pollock Moore concerning the case of J. B. F. Rinehart. Moore is in a libel suit against the Leader, and the telegrams are important.
