Lawrence F. Abbott accepts President Roosevelt’s invitation to lunch and encloses an editorial from The Outlook that he would like to discuss. Abbott also encloses a letter from George H. Mifflin asking Roosevelt to write a biography of the late John Hay, for which his widow, Clara Louise Stone Hay, has given permission.
