Performance of “‘Alice Blue’ waltzes” by Beverly Everett on piano. The original sheet music was composed by Abbie A. Ford and published in 1906 by Windsor Mucic Co. of Chicago, Illinois and New York, New York. The composition was dedicated to Alice Roosevelt Longworth, Theodore Roosevelt’s daughter.
Recorded at Makoche Recording Studios in Bismarck, North Dakota, with partial funding from the North Dakota Council on the Arts.

President Roosevelt describes the family’s Christmas activities. Presents were opened in the morning with Alice Roosevelt Longworth and Representative Nicholas Longworth in attendance. Anna Roosevelt Cowles hosted lunch and the Lodge family visited for Christmas dinner.

Edith Kermit Carow Roosevelt is caring for Ted Roosevelt, who is recovering from an illness. President Roosevelt updates her on the other children and their activities. He has been busy with work, including meetings regarding the Philippines and completing a memorandum on the Schley case. Emperor William II sent a telegram with congratulations on Ted’s recovery and announced that Prince Heinrich had sailed.

Drury describes the ceremony, other events that took place while he was in North Dakota, and the time he spent with other government officials who also attended.
