Charles Barmore would like Theodore Roosevelt to approve a copper etching portrait before publishing it as a limited-edition run of artist proofs. The etching was made from a photograph taken by Moffet of Chicago (Moffat). Barmore includes a clipping of reviews from New York Tribune and Chicago Times Herald praising his published portraits.

Herschel V. Jones suggests that President Roosevelt consider publishing his works as limited editions. He recommends Houghton, Mifflin & Company and Little, Brown & Company as publishers. Jones concludes with a request for a signed first edition of Roosevelt’s newly published book, The Deer Family.

The New York Journal has just printed “a sensational account” describing the preparation of an elaborate copy of one of President Roosevelt’s books. G. P. Putnam’s Sons has written to the New York Journal and informed them that the account is entirely false.
