Letter from Emeline Louise Johnson Hilton to Frank Harper
Emeline Louise Johnson Hilton clarifies her previous letter to Frank Harper explaining her offer to send Theodore Roosevelt a special printing of her father’s book The Long Roll. She wishes to send a copy to Roosevelt, “so thoroughly representative of our country’s interests,” one to Gustav V, King of Sweden, and one to be placed in the Royal Library at Stockholm. Because of the limited print run, however, if Roosevelt is not interested in receiving a copy, she will not send one.
