Theodore Roosevelt’s secretary thanks Major A. White for his letter and passes on Roosevelt’s suggestion that White contact Senator Joseph M. Dixon of the Roosevelt Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. As Roosevelt does not know what help is required in Chicago, he believes Dixon will be the best person to take advantage of White’s “very kind offer.”
