Theodore Roosevelt sends his thanks to Julius J. Kron and all the members of the Hungarian Club who voted in favor of supporting Roosevelt’s candidacy. Roosevelt suggests Kron get in contact with William L. Ward to see if there is anything he can do for the campaign.

Marcus Braun of the Hungarian Republican Club, and strong Theodore Roosevelt supporter, is coming to speak with Collector Stranahan. Braun has done excellent political work and President Roosevelt would like Braun’s people to receive some recognition.

Ambassador Storer is sorry to have to “turn a cold shoulder” on so ardent a supporter of President Roosevelt as Marcus Braun, but Storer does not believe that Braun can be of use to the United States Department of Commerce in Hungary. Braun, against Storer’s advice and wishes, gave inflammatory interviews to Hungarian newspapers which were counterproductive to Storer’s diplomatic mission.
