Letter from Edmund T. Byles to Lyman Abbott
While Edmund T. Byles admires Theodore Roosevelt and agrees with his disapproval of “willful sterility,” he feels the article “Race Decadence” is not in line with the “charitable traditions” of The Outlook. He knows many families, including his own, who have few or no children due to infertility who are hurt by the article’s “degrading imputation[s].”
